So, we went and
got Carly's free portrait session done about a week ago. And thanks
to the incredible speed of modern technology, it only took me three
emails to customer service and a week of waiting to be able to access
them instantaneously online! :D Unfortunately,
even though Carly is incredibly cute in these pictures, the
photographer was kind of green and had a hard time getting Carly to
smile. :( So we're thinking of doing another free session with Carly
in a few more weeks. And then maybe a family session or an
all-the-kids-together session.
On another note, here is an update on some recent quotes from the kids:
Carly (running up to me with a sense of urgency, and with a tone of
excitement): "Look Daddy, I'm growing!" (This happened several times
a day for three or four days in a row.)
Michael (its early in the morning and Jenny is still asleep, the kids
were just reproached for being too loud, and Michael is speaking to
me, nay, almost yelling at me): "Hey Dad, Carly and William are being
too loud again!" (Yes son, now I'm going to have to kill you.)
William (does it really matter what the context is): "Wow Dad! You
have a big butt!" (Yes, thank you, I'm working on it... I think I'll
go finish off that chocolate ice cream now.)
Carly (yesterday in the van, singing happily to herself): "Me, me, me,
me, me, me, me, me..." (You get the idea, this went on for about a
good five minutes. Ironically anytime Jenny would look back at her,
she would say: "Don't look at me!")
Michael (I'm trying to get dressed very quietly early in the morning
when Jenny is still asleep and Michael walks into the room and in a
loud voice asks): "Daddy, is Mommy still asleep?" (Nope, not
anymore.)
William (he is chasing Michael and Carly around the house pretending
he's a jaguar, Carly and Michael are screaming at the top of their
lungs in outright panic, I kindly ;) ask him to "stop pretending you
are a jaguar chasing your brother and sister, they don't like it and
its making them be too loud!" William agrees and then, speaking to
Michael and Carly says): "Okay guys, now I'm a T-Rex! ROAR!!!"
(Michael and Carly of course start screaming in even more horror... I
think we have a communication issue.)
