So, Carly said something rather entertaining yesterday and I thought that that was a good sign that it was time to send out another of those random emails that I send out every so often. I was working on something and Carly came up and sat herself in my lap. This is a sign that she wants attention, but she is too polite to ask for it. Naturally it is rather difficult to work on a computer when a three-year-old (almost four-year-old) is sitting on your lap, especially when your computer is a laptop, so I asked her how she was doing. "Good. Daddy, when I poop out a monkey I will love that monkey and I bet he will love me too, and that monkey will not run away." Well, as you can imagine this was not exactly what I was expecting. I asked if her if she were planning on pooping out any monkeys anytime soon and she shook her head and explained that it would still be awhile. But she promised to let me know whenever the happy event takes place. Jenny explained to me later that Carly had been asking about where babies come from, and after a little conversation with Jenny about it she had come to understand that mommies grow babies in their tummies and then poop them out.
In other news, William and Michael are really enjoying Tae Kwon Do! This week their instructors are out of town at the national competition in Louisiana, so there are no classes, but they are very much looking forward to next week. They love going everyday. They are both learning a lot! They love to show us their moves and recite the stuff they have memorized. Williamhas also decided that he is going to make up a dance based on the moves he is learning in Tae Kwon Do. Rather reminds me of the idea behind Capoeira (forgive any spelling mistake.) And Michael is just plain cute! He looks so adorable in his little uniform! And he gets such a serious little face when he's doing his training. And he is always very proud to show off what he has learned and any new stripes he has gotten on his belt. :)
Meanwhile, Jenny and I are keeping busy with our schooling and jobs. So we're doing pretty good. We're both trying to lose weight, and its nice that we can support each other in that endeavor. Though I did get a bunch of really nice candy for a piƱata the other day, and Jenny has been cooking some REALLY good food, and we had a LOT of yummy leftovers from the 4th of July, but other than that we've been controlling how much and what we eat pretty well. :)
